No - and this is the single most common way people end up stranded offline here. Buying and registering a SIM in Turkiye legally requires an entry stamp in your passport, which a transit cruise passenger does not get, so the port itself states that day visitors cannot purchase one. Compounding it: Turkiye is not in the EU, so a European roaming bundle sold as covering Europe gives you nothing here unless you have worldwide roaming switched on. Because it is not a Ministry of Culture site, neither the Turkish Museum Pass nor the MuzeKart covers it, which is why passholders get turned away at the door. It runs about fifteen to twenty minutes across three projection rooms, with audio in many languages. Two practical notes: it is indoors and air-conditioned, making it the one genuine escape from the midday heat at Ephesus, and it uses heavy visuals, loud sound, and haze effects - worth avoiding if you are sensitive to any of those.
Partly, and the trick is choosing your route rather than deciding whether to go at all. The main street is broadly navigable but the surfaces are uneven and the polished marble is genuinely slick. The low-mobility play is to enter at the lower gate, cover the relatively flat stretch as far as the Library of Celsus and the Great Theatre, and come back the same way - you see the two things everyone comes for without the long descent.
