Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 2, 2026

Last Updated: April 2, 2026

CruiseProdigy values clear, straightforward information, and that includes how we handle privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when third parties may process information in connection with the site, and what choices you have.

1. Who We Are

CruiseProdigy is an independent cruise research and planning website. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our information practices, you can contact us through our Contact page or at contact@cruiseprodigy.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only limited information in connection with operating the site.

  • Information you provide directly: If you submit a message through our Contact form, we may collect your name, your email address, the category of your inquiry, and the contents of your message.
  • Technical information processed by service providers: When you visit the site, our hosting, infrastructure, and service providers may process routine technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, device or request information, and timestamps.

3. Cookies, Browser Storage, and Affiliate Tracking

No analytics or custom tracking cookies: CruiseProdigy does not use analytics tools and does not set its own custom tracking cookies for advertising or behavioral profiling.

Browser storage used for site functionality: Some interactive site features may use browser storage, such as session storage or local storage, to preserve your selections or search state while you use the site. This information remains in your browser unless cleared by you or overwritten by your browser or the site’s normal operation.

Affiliate links: CruiseProdigy participates in affiliate programs. If you click an outbound affiliate link, the affiliate network or merchant may place cookies or use similar tracking technologies to attribute the referral and determine whether a commission is owed. Those technologies are controlled by the third party, not by CruiseProdigy, and are governed by that third party’s own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Services

We use selected third-party providers to help operate the site. Depending on how you use CruiseProdigy, these providers may process limited personal or technical information in connection with their services.

  • GitHub Pages helps host and deliver site content.
  • Supabase supports certain data-driven site functions.
  • Formspree receives and routes messages submitted through our Contact page.
  • WeatherAPI may provide weather-related data on pages or features that display localized weather information.

5. How We Use Information

  • respond to inquiries submitted through the Contact form,
  • maintain and troubleshoot site functionality,
  • protect the security and integrity of the site, and
  • support affiliate attribution when users choose to follow outbound partner links.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

6. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

  • General contact inquiries are typically retained for up to 12 months after our last correspondence.
  • Partnership or business inquiries may be retained for up to 24 months after our last correspondence.
  • Information may be retained longer if reasonably necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, investigate abuse, or protect legal rights.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it where practical.

7. Your Choices and Requests

You may:

  • choose not to submit information through our Contact form,
  • configure your browser to block or limit third-party cookies,
  • clear your browser storage, or
  • contact us to request deletion of information you previously submitted through the Contact form, subject to any lawful need to retain it.

To make a privacy-related request, contact us at contact@cruiseprodigy.com or through our Contact page.

8. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. At this time, CruiseProdigy does not respond differently to browser Do Not Track signals. However, CruiseProdigy also does not use on-site analytics tools or custom behavioral tracking cookies. Third-party services or affiliate partners may handle browser signals under their own policies.

9. Children’s Privacy

CruiseProdigy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site.

10. Security

We use HTTPS and rely on reputable third-party providers to help operate the site securely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we seek to limit risk by collecting relatively little personal information in the first place.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page. Material changes will apply from the updated effective date unless otherwise stated.

12. Contact
