Getting Back to Your Ship: Labadee Edition
Golden Rule:
Since you can't leave the resort, the main timing risk is being too far from the pier when all-aboard approaches. Columbus Cove is a 15-20min walk back. Listen for ship horn announcements—they echo across the peninsula.
Step-by-Step Calculation Example:
-
All-aboard time:
4:00pm
-
Subtract pier walk (15min from far beach):
3:45pm
-
Subtract gathering belongings (10min):
3:35pm
-
Add comfort buffer (15min):
3:20pm
RESULT: Start packing up by 3:20pm
-
At Columbus Cove (+10min walk)
-
On a snorkel excursion (confirm return)
-
Using cabana (pack-up time)
-
Shopping at Artisan Market (+15min)
