Understanding Willemstad's Cruise Reality
The Reality:
Your ship calls in Willemstad itself—this is not a “dock far away, bus to town” port.
Key Insight:
This is a DOCKED port, but terminal assignment matters. Mega Cruise Terminal is farther west; Mathey Wharf is deeper in the harbor and closer to the floating bridge/downtown core.

Golden Rule: Willemstad feels easy because it is so walkable, but that creates false confidence. Plan to be back at your terminal—not “somewhere downtown.” If you're crossing between Punda and Otrobanda, the bridge/ferry can still slow you down.

- All-aboard time: 4:30pm
- Subtract terminal walk/security (20min): 4:10pm
- Subtract travel time (Mambo = 15min): 3:55pm
- Add taxi/traffic buffer (20min): 3:35pm
RESULT: Leave Mambo Beach by 3:20pm
