The Prodigy Verdict
The Grand Dame of Fun.
The Carnival Conquest is the namesake of a highly successful class of ships that defined the "Fun Ship" era. While she lacks the rollercoaster and IMAX theaters of her younger sisters, she possesses a distinct, vibrant personality. Her decor is an exuberant tribute to French Impressionism—expect sunflowers, murals, and bold colors. She has received the "Fun Ship 2.0" upgrades, meaning Guy's Burger Joint and the BlueIguana Cantina are present and accounted for. This is a ship for people who want to be out and about, socializing on the Lido deck or catching a comedy set, rather than retreating to a quiet cabin.
- First-time cruisers seeking high value
- Groups celebrating milestones (birthdays/bachelorettes)
- Travelers who prefer a classic, easy-to-navigate layout
- Better for those who enjoy a high-energy environment
- The decor is bold; minimalists may prefer newer ships
- If you require the latest high-tech attractions, look to the Excel class
The Zones
While not formally "zoned" like newer ships, Conquest has distinct hubs of activity.
Lido Deck
The epicenter. Home to the main pools, the Seaside Theater (big screen), and the DJ. It is loud, crowded, and undeniably fun.
The Promenade
Deck 5 is the evening hub. Here you find the casino, the Alchemy Bar, and live band performances. It has a classic "boulevard" feel.
Serenity
The Adults-Only retreat. Located forward, it offers padded loungers and whirlpools. It fills up fast on sea days, so arrive early.
Toulouse-Lautrec
The main show lounge. A massive, three-deck theater featuring "Playlist Productions" shows. The sightlines are generally excellent.
Punchliner Club
Hosted in the Degas Lounge, these shows range from family-friendly to R-rated. It is hugely popular, so arrive 20 minutes early for a seat.
Camp Ocean
The award-winning kids' programming. Divided by age group, it offers marine-themed activities that allow parents a genuine break.
Piano Bar 88
A sing-along staple of the fleet. It is rowdy, interactive, and undeniably fun. Prepare to request "Sweet Caroline" at least once.
City Sports Park
Located on the very top deck, featuring mini-golf and a jogging track. It gets breezy up here, but the ocean views are unmatched.
Dining & Provisions
Conquest features the "Fun Ship 2.0" culinary lineup, ensuring great casual options.
Guy's Burger Joint
Pool Deck
Carnival's most famous venue. Freshly grilled burgers with a massive toppings bar. It lives up to the hype.
BlueIguana Cantina
Pool Deck
Fresh tacos and massive burritos made to order. The breakfast burritos here are a Prodigy favorite.
The Point Steakhouse
Fine Dining
A distinct step up in quality and service. Ideal for a quiet, romantic dinner away from the main dining room bustle.
Seafood Shack
Aft Pool
New England-style rolls, fried shrimp, and steamed crab legs. A la carte pricing applies, but it's great for a pool snack.
Pizza Pirate
Aft Deck
Open 24 hours. Thin crust, constantly baking. It is the savior of late-night cravings after the club closes.
Alchemy Bar
Cocktails
Not food, but essential. The "Pharmacy" themed bar where mixologists create custom cocktails. The best drinks on the ship.
Renoir & Monet
Main Dining
The primary sit-down venues. Expect 3-course dinners including the famous chocolate melting cake. "Your Time" dining is usually in the Renoir.
The Coffee Shop
Promenade
Serving specialty espressos and massive slices of cake. The ship's free coffee is passable, but this is the spot for true caffeine lovers.

The Vibe Check
Is this ship for you? It depends on if you want a "Resort" or a "Classic Cruiser."
Social and Spirited. This ship encourages interaction. The atrium bar is a hub, the pools are lively, and the comedy club is packed.
Younger and Local. Due to the short itineraries, you'll see a lot of younger groups and Florida locals looking for a quick escape.

Spacious for an interior (185 sq ft). Good storage. Perfect if you plan to close down the nightclub every night.
