The Prodigy Verdict
The Edge-Class, Expanded.
When Celebrity Beyond launched in 2022, it marked a pivotal moment for the brand. Celebrity "stretched" the hull by 20 meters compared to its sisters, Edge and Apex. This wasn't just for capacity; it was to fix the pinch points. The result is a Resort Deck that breathes, a Rooftop Garden with float-over-the-ocean pools, and a multi-level Sunset Bar that is widely considered the best aft spot in the industry.
- Social butterflies (The Sunset Bar scene is unmatched)
- Premium dining lovers (Le Voyage debut)
- Suite guests (The Retreat is massive here)
- Infinite Verandas: Love them or hate them, they are the standard balcony here.
- Price point: It consistently prices higher than Edge or Apex due to demand.
- Eden is less "experimental" than on Edge (toned down).
The Zones
Beyond introduced significant changes to the deck plan, creating spaces that feel wider and more connected to the sea.
Sunset Bar
Redesigned by Nate Berkus. It's now a multi-level terraced lounge at the aft, 180% larger than on previous ships, with a Moroccan vibe.
Rooftop Garden
Expanded significantly on Beyond. It now features two cantilevered float pools that extend over the open ocean.
Magic Carpet
The floating platform is still here, offering the best "Drink on the Edge" experience when positioned on Deck 14 or 16.
Grand Plaza
Reshaped to be more open. The Martini Bar chandelier puts on a nightly light show that anchors the ship's energy.
The Retreat
The suite-only sundeck was expanded by 40% on this ship. It now spans two decks and feels like a private resort.
World Class Bar
A fan favorite returned. This venue, missing on Apex, serves premium craft cocktails in a quiet, sophisticated setting.
Resort Deck
The extra ship length allowed Celebrity to unclutter the pool deck, removing the "bottleneck" felt on previous Edge-class ships.
Eden
The massive aft lounge/theatre. On Beyond, the programming is slightly more "approachable" than the avant-garde shows on Edge.
Dining & Provisions
Beyond debuted the partnership with Daniel Boulud in a dedicated venue, elevating the culinary game.
Le Voyage
Daniel Boulud
First introduced on Beyond. An intimate, upscale venue by the Michelin-starred chef. It is the most premium dining experience on board.
The Four MDRs
Main Dining
Normandie (French), Tuscan (Italian), Cyprus (Greek), and Cosmopolitan (American). You can dine in any of them; the "classics" menu is shared.
Luminae
Private Dining
Exclusive to Suite guests. On Beyond, this venue was moved to the front of the ship with panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows.
Blu
Clean Cuisine
Exclusive to AquaClass. Focuses on "clean" dishes with lighter preparations. Many loyalists prefer this over the main dining rooms.
Fine Cut
Steakhouse
The classic American steakhouse experience. Premium cuts, rich sides, and an extensive wine list. A reliable crowd-pleaser.
Le Grand Bistro
Le Petit Chef
Home to "Le Petit Chef"βan immersive dining show where 3D animations prepare your meal on your plate. Great for one night of entertainment.
Eden Restaurant
Experimental
Open-kitchen dining with views of the wake. The menu is inventive and sensory-focused. It's the "foodie" spot on board.
CafΓ© al Bacio
Coffee & Sweets
The European-style coffee house. Lavazza coffee costs extra, but the pastries in the glass case are free (and excellent).
Where It Sails
Celebrity Beyond follows the sun, typically alternating between the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
- Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale/Miami)
- Mediterranean (Summer)
The expanded open decks make Beyond ideal for warm-weather cruising. The Solarium provides a backup for cooler Atlantic crossings.

Cost Reality
Celebrity uses an "All Included" pricing model for some fares, but unbundling is common.
- 4 Main Dining Rooms
- Oceanview Cafe (Buffet)
- Mast Grill & Spa CafΓ©
- Basic Beverages (Water/Tea/Coffee)
- Specialty Dining (Le Voyage, Eden)
- The Thermal Suite (Unless AquaClass)
- Alcohol (Unless in "All Included" pkg)
- Gratuities
The Sunset Bar on Deck 15 is often crowded at sail-away. For a similar view but less crowd, head to the Magic Carpet if it's positioned on Deck 14.
The Vibe Check
Is this ship for you? It is sophisticated, open, and lacks the "crowded mall" feel of larger mega-ships.
Modern Luxury Resort. Think W Hotel or a high-end Mediterranean beach club. It's lively but rarely raucous.
Skewing slightly younger than Holland America or Princess, but firmly adult-focused. Captain Kate McCue's presence often draws a loyal fanbase.

Cabin Recon
The Edge Series introduced the "Infinite Veranda" β a glass sunroom concept that replaces the traditional balcony.
Infinite Veranda
The balcony is merged into the room. A bi-fold window slides down to open the space. It adds air-conditioned square footage but lacks the separation of a true balcony.
AquaClass
The "sweet spot" for wellness lovers. Includes unlimited access to the Thermal Suite and exclusive dining at Blu.
Edge Villa
A two-story residence with a private plunge pool. It offers direct access to The Retreat Sun Deck and feels like a modern city loft.
