The Prodigy Verdict
The Best of Both Worlds.
Celebrity Eclipse occupies a sweet spot in the fleet. Launched before the "Solsticizing" of Reflection and Silhouette, she retains the original charm of the class. Most notably, this means the "Corning Museum of Glass Hot Glass Show" is still on the top deckβa feature removed from later ships to make room for a restaurant. She feels spacious, sophisticated, and distinctly less crowded than the Edge-class vessels.
- Couples seeking a relaxed, adult-oriented vibe
- Art lovers (The Hot Glass Show is a must-see)
- Traditional cruisers who prefer standard balconies over "Infinite Verandas"
- She has not received the full "Revolution" aesthetic update like Millennium.
- There is no "Lawn Club Grill" (The space is occupied by the Glass Show).
The Zones
From the heat of the glass furnace to the chill of the ice-topped bar, Eclipse offers distinct atmospheric zones.
Hot Glass Show
The star of the top deck. Watch professional gaffers from the Corning Museum of Glass blow vases and sculptures live at sea.
The Lawn Club
A half-acre of real bentgrass on the top deck. It feels like a country club, perfect for bocce ball, picnics, or barefoot sunset walks.
Sky Lounge
The forward observation lounge with floor-to-ceiling glass. Itβs the best spot for reading during the day and dancing at night.
Martini Bar
The social heart of the ship. The bar top is actually frozen ice, and the flair bartenders put on a high-energy show every night.
Persian Garden
The thermal suite featuring heated tile loungers, steam rooms, and saunas. Complimentary for AquaClass guests.
The Library
A stunning two-story space in the atrium. Even if you don't read, it's worth a visit just for the architecture and quiet ambiance.
Solarium
The glass-domed, adults-only pool area. It allows you to enjoy pool time regardless of the weather outside.
Michael's Club
The exclusive lounge for Suite guests (Retreat). A private sanctuary with concierge service and premium beverages.
Dining & Provisions
A balanced look at where to eat on Eclipse, with plenty of included value.
Moonlight Sonata
Main Dining
The grand, two-story main restaurant dominated by a shimmering silver wine tower. Serves breakfast, lunch (sea days), and multi-course dinner.
Oceanview Cafe
Global Buffet
One of the best buffets at sea. Features dedicated stations for made-to-order pasta, stir-fry, pizza, and extensive salad bars.
Mast Grill
Poolside Bites
Located on the pool deck. The perfect spot for a quick, complimentary burger, hot dog, and fries without having to change out of swimwear.
Spa CafΓ©
Healthy Options
Hidden inside the Solarium. Offers complimentary light breakfasts (yogurt parfaits) and lunches (salads, wraps) in a quiet setting.
Tuscan Grille
Italian Steakhouse
Aft views and homemade pasta. The menu bridges the gap between a rustic Italian trattoria and a high-end American steakhouse.
Murano
French Continental
Classic luxury. Expect white glove service, tableside lobster preparation, and a cheese cart that is arguably the best at sea.
Le Petit Chef
Immersive Dining
Located in Qsine. A 3D animated chef "cooks" on your plate. It's a set menu and a fun, family-friendly dinner show experience.
Sushi on Five
Japanese
A la carte pricing. Serves fresh sashimi, rolls, and Japanese beers. A great spot for a lighter dinner or a shared appetizer lunch.
Where It Sails
Eclipse is a versatile ship, often handling longer itineraries in cooler climates as well as tropical runs.
- Northeast & Canada (Fall)
- Caribbean (Winter)
- Europe (Summer)
Because of her glass-enclosed Solarium and Sky Lounge, Eclipse is an excellent choice for cooler itineraries like Canada/New England.

The Vibe Check
Sophisticated, calm, and effortlessly stylish. It feels like a high-end city hotel that happens to float.
The design has aged beautifully. It lacks the "shock and awe" of the new Edge class, but replaces it with a comfortable, familiar layout that guests love.
Skews slightly older and more traditional than the Edge class. You'll find plenty of couples, retirees, and loyal Captain's Club members.
