ALLURE OF THE SEAS
The "Comeback Kid." After missing her refurb in 2020, she finally received a $100M+ glow-up in 2025. She now rivals the newest ships in the fleet.

The Prodigy Verdict
Finally Amplified.
For years, Allure of the Seas was the anomaly—the only Oasis Class ship without waterslides or the Ultimate Abyss. That changed in 2025. Following her European dry dock, she has been retrofitted with the "Perfect Storm" waterslides, a reimagined pool deck, and new dining venues like Giovanni's Italian Kitchen. She now offers the full mega-ship experience but often at a lower price point than the Icon or Utopia class.
- Smart travelers wanting "Oasis Class" amenities for less
- Entertainment lovers (Mamma Mia! is world-class)
- Groups who want distinct neighborhoods (Central Park)
- You dislike walking (it takes 15 mins to cross the ship)
- You want the absolute newest tech (see Star of the Seas)
- You prefer intimate, quiet pool decks
The Neighborhoods
The ship pioneered the "Neighborhood" concept. Here are the standouts.
Central Park
Real living plants, open to the sky. It is the quietest place on the ship at night, featuring live classical guitar and wine bars.
Boardwalk
Home to the handcrafted carousel and the AquaTheater. It feels like Coney Island at sea. Loud, fun, and energetic.
The Perfect Storm
Added in 2025. The trio of waterslides (Typhoon, Cyclone, and Supercell) finally brings Allure up to par with her sisters.
Royal Promenade
The internal mall. It hosts the parties, the parades, and the Rising Tide Bar (which physically moves between decks).
The Ultimate Abyss
New for 2025. The tallest slide at sea—a 10-story dry slide drop from the Sports Deck down to the Boardwalk. Not for the faint of heart.
Pool & Sports Zone
Completely revamped. Now features resort-style seating, "The Lime & Coconut" bar, and a splash pad for kids, replacing the old H2O Zone.
Entertainment Place
The hub for nightlife on Deck 4. Includes the Studio B ice rink, the comedy club, and Jazz on 4. It comes alive after dinner.
Vitality Spa & Fitness
One of the largest spas at sea. Features a thermal suite with heated ceramic loungers and a massive gym with floor-to-ceiling ocean views.
Dining & Provisions
The amplification overhauled the culinary lineup, removing older concepts for modern favorites.
Giovanni's Italian Kitchen
New 2025
Replaced the stuffy "Giovanni's Table." This is the modern, rustic version with excellent hand-tossed pizzas and a huge wine bar.
150 Central Park
Farm to Table
The most sophisticated venue on board. The menu focuses on locally sourced ingredients. Highly recommended for a quiet date night.
Park Café
Quick Bites
Home of the legendary "Kummelweck" roast beef sandwich. It is free, delicious, and the best lunch secret on the ship.
Sorrento's
Late Night
Located on the Promenade. It is not gourmet, but at 2 AM after the club, that pepperoni slice is a spiritual experience.
El Loco Fresh
Poolside
A massive upgrade for the pool deck. Grab-and-go burritos, tacos, and nachos. Perfect for when you don't want to dry off for lunch.
Playmakers
Sports Bar
New to the Boardwalk. Wings, burgers, ice-cold drafts, and every game on TV. It brings a lively energy to the aft of the ship.
Chops Grille
Steakhouse
The Royal Caribbean staple. Located in Central Park with outdoor seating available. Consistent, upscale, and excellent steaks.
Izumi Hibachi
Asian / Teppanyaki
Split into two sections: a sushi side and a hibachi side. The hibachi show is great family fun, but reservations go very fast.
Where It Sails
Post-amplification, Allure is deployed to high-demand regions.
- 7-Night Eastern Caribbean
- 7-Night Western Caribbean
- Departing from Fort Lauderdale
Allure offers the "Mega Ship" experience on standard 7-night runs. It is often priced significantly lower than the newer Icon of the Seas, making it the "Value King" of the fleet.

Cost Reality
You can cruise relatively cheaply here, but the "add-ons" will catch you.
- FlowRider & Zip Line
- Broadway Show (Mamma Mia!)
- Main Dining & Windjammer
- Park Cafe & Solarium Bistro
- Starbucks (Kiosk)
- Giovanni's Italian Kitchen
- Arcade Games
- Soda & Alcohol Packages
Avoid the buffet for lunch on Embarkation Day. Go straight to Park Cafe in Central Park for roast beef sandwiches. It is much less crowded.
The Vibe Check
Is this ship for you? It is an engineering marvel, but it is high-energy 24/7.
Bustling metropolis. The Royal Promenade feels like a city street. Central Park offers a strange, delightful serenity in the middle of the ocean.
Everyone. From toddlers to retirees. The sheer size of the ship allows for segmentation—families stick to the Boardwalk/Pools, adults stick to the Solarium/Central Park.

Cabin Recon
Oasis class ships offer inward-facing balconies. This changes the game.
Interior Stateroom
Small and functional. Best for travelers who view the room only as a place to sleep.
Central Park Balcony
These overlook the internal park rather than the ocean. They are often cheaper than ocean balconies, quieter, and offer great people-watching and fresh air.
AquaTheater Suite
Located at the aft, these 2-bedroom suites have massive wrap-around balconies that serve as your private box seat for the AquaTheater diving shows.
