The Prodigy Verdict
The Frankenstein of the Fleet.
Enchantment is famous for being cut in half and extended by 73 feet in 2005. This "stretch" created a pool deck that remains one of the best designed in the fleet, featuring dramatic suspension bridges and expanded space. It lacks the waterslides and robotic bartenders of the newer ships, but it offers a classic, intimate cruise experience where you never lose sight of the ocean.
- Couples seeking a quieter, more traditional vibe
- Port-intensive itineraries (Small size = better ports)
- Value seekers wanting Royal service without the markup
- Features classic amenities rather than FlowRiders or slides
- Best for travelers not requiring extensive teen clubs
- Offers an intimate atmosphere distinct from Icon class
The Zones
Smaller than the mega-ships, but the layout is efficient and filled with natural light.
The Solarium
The crown jewel of the Vision Class. An adults-only retreat with a retractable glass roof. It is rain-proof, warm, and utterly relaxing.
The Pool Deck
Thanks to the 2005 stretch, the pool deck is massive for a ship this size. The iconic white suspension bridges offer great photo ops.
The Centrum
The vertical heartbeat of the ship. This multi-deck atrium hosts aerial acrobatics, live bands, and serves as the primary social hub.
Viking Crown
Perched high on Deck 11, this signature lounge offers 360-degree panoramic views by day and transforms into a dance club at night.
Schooner Bar
A Royal Caribbean staple. This nautical-themed piano bar is the place for trivia, sing-alongs, and the distinct scent of teak and rope.
Boleros
The Latin lounge located centrally. While smaller than on newer ships, the live salsa music here drives the nightlife energy.
Adventure Ocean
Located forward on Deck 10, the kids' clubs are more compact here but offer dedicated spaces for Aquanauts, Explorers, and Voyagers.
Vitality Spa
A full-service spa and fitness center located aft. It lacks the thermal suites of newer ships but provides solid treatments and sea-view treadmills.
Dining & Provisions
Limited options compared to the Icon class, but the quality in the main venues remains solid.
Chops Grille
Steakhouse
Royal Caribbean's signature steakhouse. It's consistent, high-quality, and on this ship, offers a nice break from the main dining room noise.
Park Cafe
Solarium Bistro
Prodigy Tip: Located in the Solarium, this is the best spot for breakfast and lunch. The "Kummelweck" roast beef sandwich is legendary.
My Fair Lady
Dining Room
The two-story main dining room. Features floor-to-ceiling windows which are lovely during early seatings or lunch.
Windjammer
Marketplace Buffet
The casual buffet located on Deck 9. Features global stations and great forward-facing views, though it can get crowded at peak times.
Chef's Table
Private Dining
An exclusive, multi-course pairing dinner hosted by the Chef de Cuisine. Limited seating makes this the most premium food event onboard.
CafΓ© Latte-tudes
Coffee Bar
The go-to spot for specialty Starbucks drinks and complimentary pastries. A quiet corner near the Centrum perfect for people watching.
Ben & Jerry's
Ice Cream Shop
Located near the Centrum, serving scoops and sundaes for a fee. (Note: Soft serve is available for free on the pool deck).
Room Service
In-Cabin
Available 24/7. Continental breakfast is complimentary, but American breakfast and all other orders incur a fixed delivery fee + gratuity.
Where It Sails
Enchantment is a workhorse, often deployed to smaller ports or filler itineraries.
- Tampa Departures (Western Carib)
- Mediterranean Filler Routes
- Longer 7-10 day varied sailings
Because it fits under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, it is a regular in Tampa. These itineraries are excellent for avoiding the chaos of Miami/Fort Lauderdale.

Cost Reality
This is often one of the lowest-priced ships in the fleet. Great for budget travelers.
- Main Dining Room
- Windjammer & Park Cafe
- Solarium Access (Adults 16+)
- Rock Climbing Wall
- Chops Grille
- Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream
- Alcohol & Soda Packages
- Gratuities
Since specialty dining options are limited, the "Unlimited Dining Package" is rarely worth the money on this specific ship. Stick to a 3-night package or pay Γ la carte.
The Vibe Check
Is this ship for you? It's about relaxation and the ocean, not neon lights and noise.
Classic Cruise. The Centrum (Atrium) is the hub of activity with aerial shows and live music. It feels communal and intimate.
Skews older than the Mega-Ships. You'll find more retirees and couples. Fewer families with young children due to the lack of "kid bait" features.

Cabin Recon
Warning: Standard cabins here are smaller than modern industry averages.
Interior Stateroom
Very compact (approx 135-140 sq ft). Best used only for sleeping and showering. Pack light.
Junior Suite
Because balconies are rare and expensive on this ship class, the Junior Suite often prices competitively. You get a bathtub, a walk-in closet, and actual breathing room.
Royal Suite
The singular top dog. Features a baby grand piano and massive forward-facing views. Old school luxury.
