The Prodigy Verdict
The Edge, Refined.
Celebrity Apex took the paradigm-shifting design of the Edge and smoothed out the rough edges. It features the same controversial yet innovative Infinite Verandas and the Magic Carpet, but with tweaked dining menus and entertainment venues. Unlike traditional cruise ships, the focus here is on "outward facing" spacesโconnecting you to the sea through massive glass walls in Eden and the Grand Plaza.
- Couples seeking a sophisticated, adult-focused vibe
- Travelers who prefer "Resort" style over "Theme Park" style
- Suite guests (The Retreat is expansive here)
- Infinite Verandas: Glass sunrooms that require AC to be off to open.
- Asymmetrical Pool Deck: Unique design, but can feel crowded on sea days.
- Price: Commands a premium over Solstice-class ships.
The Zones
Apex is defined by its transformative spaces, from the moving Magic Carpet to the multi-level Eden.
Magic Carpet
A cantilevered platform on the starboard side. It moves decks to serve as a tender station, bar, or dining venue.
Rooftop Garden
A living urban landscape maintained by a horticulturist. Features live music, movies, and the Rooftop Garden Grill.
Eden
A massive, glass-enclosed venue at the aft. It transitions from a chill daytime lounge to a performance-art dinner venue at night.
Grand Plaza
The heartbeat of the ship. An open, three-story venue featuring the Martini Bar and a spectacular LED chandelier light show.
The Retreat
Exclusive to suite guests. Includes a private pool deck, 24/7 lounge, and Luminae restaurant.
Resort Deck
An asymmetrical pool deck with a 25-yard lap pool, "Martini glass" hot tubs, and high-ceilinged cabanas.
Sunset Bar
Located aft with a casual country club atmosphere. The perfect spot to watch the wake with a cocktail in hand.
The Theatre
Features a 20-foot tall 4K LED screen and a circular stage that extends into the audience for immersive productions.
Dining & Provisions
Apex features 29 distinct food and beverage experiences, including four complimentary main dining rooms.
Le Petit Chef
Le Grand Bistro
An immersive dining show where 3D animations "prepare" your meal right on your plate. A hit for families and groups.
The Four MDRs
Main Dining
Normandie (French), Tuscan (Italian), Cyprus (Greek), and Cosmopolitan (American). Each offers exclusive dishes plus a shared classic menu.
Luminae
Private Dining
Exclusive to Suite guests. Features signature dishes from Daniel Boulud that are not available elsewhere on the ship.
Blu
Clean Cuisine
Exclusive to AquaClass. Spa-inspired cuisine with cleaner ingredients and a more intimate atmosphere than the main dining rooms.
Fine Cut
Steakhouse
Premium steak and seafood. Known for its Tomahawk Ribeye and extensive wine list. Located just off the Grand Plaza.
Rooftop Grill
Al Fresco BBQ
Located in the Rooftop Garden. Serves gourmet burgers, brisket, and BBQ in an open-air setting.
Craft Social
Pub & Grub
Offers craft beers, wines on tap, and upscale comfort food like truffle fries and sliders.
Where It Sails
Celebrity Apex focuses on high-demand, sun-soaked destinations.
- Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale/Port Canaveral)
- Northern Europe & Mediterranean
The ship's design (Rooftop Garden, Resort Deck) is optimized for warm weather, though its enclosed Solarium makes it viable for cooler Northern Europe routes.

The Vibe Check
Is Apex for you? It is modern, stylish, and distinctly "un-nautical."
Sophisticated but not stuffy. The ship feels like a high-end land resort (think W Hotels or Edition) that happens to float.
Primarily adults, couples, and friends groups. While families are welcome, the ship lacks waterslides and extensive kids' facilities compared to Royal Caribbean.

Cabin Recon
Understanding the "Infinite Veranda" is critical before you book.
Infinite Veranda
The balcony is merged into the room with a bi-fold window. It increases internal space but lacks the fresh air feel of a true balcony.
AquaClass
Offers an Infinite Veranda cabin plus unlimited access to the Thermal Suite and the exclusive Blu restaurant.
Sky Suite
The entry into "The Retreat." Includes a butler, Luminae dining, and access to the private Retreat Sun Deck.
